Farewell

The sun is shining more and more every week, the rain has become a slight drizzle and the trees are starting to bud. Yes. . .it's obvious that spring is arriving but what wasn't so obvious to me is. . .the ski season will come to an end. I went up to the hill on Saturday to meet up with some friends and take advantage of a rare blue bird day. Seeing as this is really my first official season of skiing i had a lot of firsts, Spring skiing being one of them. We picked up a few inches during the week but the sunshine and warm temps kept it from sticking around for the weekend. The mountain was boasting a mere 151 inches of base. It isn't often that you get blue skies on Mt. Hood so you take advantage of them when you can. The day was just about perfect. The snow was a little soft, on a couple turns it felt more like water skiing than downhill skiing. We settled on a run that is usually, in many other conditions, my least favorite but the Spring corn made the run delightful. I'm not really much in the mood for writing so you'll get some pics.

Looking down one of the chutes off Shooting Star Lift.

Peek-a-boo.

Looking toward 3-D and down the chute.

Last weekend i headed up to Seattle to visit with some friends. Again, not much in the mood to write so you get pictures instead.

We strung together a frisbe golf course through Russ's neighborhood. Here he is checking out his next shot on the 8th.

Lint rolling the baby after playing the "drag me around the house by my hands" game.

This is the look that Russ hopes she forgets before getting to high school.

Sleepy baby.

I was having fun with the camera. This is a shot across the Puget Sound and onto the Olympic Peninsula.

A cute photo because what is life if it isn't cute?

So. . .that's the last two weekends in brief. I'm headed back up to Seattle again this weekend for some "ArtJam." I'm not sure what to expect but i'm sure, like everything i find myself in, it will be fun.
